Questions?

Everyone has them and they should. We hope this page helps you find some answers. If not, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What do I wear?

Most people dress in a comfortable and casual manner.  There is no expectation, but many feel right at home in jeans or what might be called “business casual.”

Where do I park?

We have parking on all sides of our main building.  The north and south parking lots are the closest to our worship center, where our services are held.  Look for the doors with the large “WELCOME” on them.

Can my kids sit with me during worship services?

Yes, children are always welcome in our services. If your children need more space or just need a break, you may choose to view the service from our Family/Cry Room.

I’d like to get more connected and get to know people. How can I do that?

We feel that the best way to get to know people is to find a workshop, class or group to connect with. Another way is to find a way to volunteer. You do not need to be a member to participate in any of our activities.

Can I take communion at Church of the Cross?

We practice an open communion. For those who claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you are welcome.

How do I become a member of Church of the Cross?

We encourage you to participate in our Next Steps Workshop and watch for other opportunities in the weekly e-mail and bulletin announcements throughout the year.

What precautions are you taking in response to the pandemic?

For complete details, visit www.lccaltoona.org/regathering. Please follow public health recommendations for your situation.

Is there a way to hear past weeks’ sermons?

Our past sermons can be found HERE.

How do I reach a pastor in an emergency?

If you contact the church office at 515-967-4818, emergency contact information is available through our voicemail system.

Are assistive listening devices available during services if I have difficulty hearing the message?

Yes, these can be obtained from our Sound Booth, located on the south side of the Worship Center.
