Nathan Anenson is married to Lisa and they have two boys (Luke and Levi) who keep them moving and laughing. Nathan has served Church of the Cross, since 2012 as Sr. Pastor. He enjoys golfing, hiking in the mountains, and going on adventures with his family. Nathan loves seeing Jesus transform lives and is passionate about training leaders to be catalysts for the Church living into God’s mission in the 21st Century.
Laurel and her husband, Jamie are parents to two sons, Spencer and Parker. She is on the board of directors for The Church Network, a national association of church business administrators. She likes being active with fitness and kayaking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and also with a side business in Body Tempering.
Tim has been married to Jane for over fifty years. They have two adult children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, golf and yard work. Tim is a graduate of the Institute of Lutheran Theology Seminary. Tim leads our care ministry team, whose mission is to share the comfort and love of Christ with all and especially those that are dealing with the suffering that life can bring.
Joyce is married to Michael and they live in Altoona. Joyce is Office Manager\IT Coordinator at LCC which means that her job is varied day to day. She loves to learn new things through internet research. If someone raises a question she is happy to "Google" it to find the answer. She also loves to read and is really happy that her books are always available to her on her phone or tablet. She desires to be a helper to the Staff and Leadership Teams by taking on office duties to free them up for their ministries.
Brad is married to Sara and they have three children (Garrett, Ethan and Jack). He takes care of anything from building maintenance, rearranging room set ups, snow removal to retrieving baby dolls off the preschool roof. He can often be found doing all things outside with his family and cheering his sons on in their sports.
Luke graduated from Iowa state with a degree in Communication studies in 2020. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing video games. Luke has worked in youth ministry for a couple years and he love youth ministry because he gets the chance to love teens as they are. More than anything Luke is passionate about students, leaders, and parents connecting with each other and with God.
Next Steps Coordinator
Nicole is married to Bjorn, and they have four children (Matthew, Aiden, Grace, and Ellie). Nicole has previously worked in healthcare. She enjoys hiking, photography, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite part of her job is chatting with others and getting them connected and growing in their relationship with Jesus.
Online Church Coordinator
Marin is a mom of 2 young kids and has attended LCC since 2019. As the online church coordinator, she hopes to build significant connection through our online platforms to our current, new, and future members. Pursuing words and imagery that are pleasing to Him is her gift. Serving in this role is her passion and she hopes she can help others find theirs here at LCC!
Tammie and her husband, David, have been married for 17 years and are blessed with 4 children Isaac, Thomas, Nicholas and Maria. They also have two big labs named Hope and Murphy. They are a family whose faith comes first, with sports in second place and all things outdoors. She loves to garden and teach swimming lessons out of her home pool. Tammie says that a huge blessing that comes with being in ministry over the years is watching Jesus fill hearts with joy. It is such a gift to witness how He works through us all in tough times, easy times and all things in between.
Nora grew up in small town Schaller in NW Iowa and attended St. Paul Lutheran church, which is where she got her roots for loving Jesus. She married her college sweetheart, Lance, while attending Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. After college they moved to the Des Moines area where Nora was an elementary teacher and then stayed home to raise their three children. Currently, Nora lives near Bondurant and works at Casey’s Corporate office in the credit card department. She has attended LCC for over 30 years and during those years has served in children's ministry, attended many of the classes offered and currently is enjoying her role as hospitality coordinator. When you can’t find her welcoming people to LCC, you can find her enjoying being an empty nester, drinking coffee (with creamer of course), enjoying her kids and grandkids and traveling when she can.
Worship Tech Coordinator
Lance was born and raised in Storm Lake, Iowa where he attended the United Methodist Church. During high school, Lance enjoyed playing drums in a praise band for churches around the Storm Lake area. Lance married his wife, Nora, while attending Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. After college they moved to the Des Moines area where Lance worked for Napa Auto Parts, which eventually led him to his current occupation of auto mechanic where he is fortunate to have his own business. The road to getting his own business was not easy, but it definitely was by the grace of God that he survived some of the bumps along the way. Lance has continued his passion of music at LCC as the sound technician. It has become a family affair as his three kids all help with video, run sound and play drums and guitar as needed. During his free time, Lance enjoys spending time with his family, drinking coffee or Mt Dew and going to car shows and drag races.
Interim Worship Coordinator
Bob has 20 years of experience in worship music, having served on the Worship Team here at LCC for 10 years and for 8 years as the Director of Worship and Communication at Crossroads Church in Norwalk. A 14-year Navy veteran, Bob also worked for 20 years in the fields of journalism and marketing. Bob recorded a Christian music album in 2012 called Never Too Late (you can listen to it free on Spotify) and gave a concert right here at LCC. He and his wife, Elaine, have two married sons and four grandchildren.
